Synapses are Syncari's connectors, stateful integration connections that link external systems to the Syncari unified data model. Each Synapse authenticates to an endpoint, discovers its schema, and enables Syncari to read and write records on your behalf.

Syncari offers prebuilt Synapses for common platforms (Salesforce, NetSuite, Marketo, Zendesk, Snowflake, BigQuery, and more), as well as custom connectors built via open SDK and API.

To Connect a Synapse in Synapse Studio, drag the required synapse on the canvas and in the configuration pop up, enter your credentials to authenticate a connection to your endpoint. Each endpoint has its own authentication requirements, to view these, click the kebab menu (three dots) on any Synapse.

For example, when connecting HubSpot you will provide a Synapse Name, your Portal ID, and authenticate via OAuth. You can also configure optional settings such as Sync Rate Limit and Schema Refresh frequency before completing authentication.

Once authenticated, your Synapse will appear as active on the canvas. Activating a Synapse triggers two processes: Syncari replicates the endpoint's schema within the platform and, optionally, automatically maps the endpoint's standard entities and fields to the Syncari unified data model. It is recommended to start with one Synapse and review the results before activating additional ones.
