SFTP Setup

The SFTP Synapse enables data synchronization between your server hosted CSV files and Syncari entities. See capabilities here

Note: CSV files encoded with UTF 8 will work best.

SFTP Configuration

On your server you need to create a syncari folder that will include other subfolders - one for each entity you want to connect to syncari (contacts, accounts, leads, etc.). 

The SFTP schema will be defined by the folders and the header names of csv files stored in each folder. Add a csv file to each subfolder where the first row includes column names that represents the attribute names the entity.

We also recommend these connection settings be configured on your SFTP server.

Synapse Setup

Step 1: Start by logging in to your Syncari subscription

1. Navigate to Synapses
2. Find SFTP in the Synapse Library
3. Drag the SFTP Synapse to the canvas

Step 2: Configure your SFTP Synapse parameters

1. Enter [Synapse Name]
2. Enter [Host]
   • The name/IP address of the host (optionally add port, default is 22). ex: server:22
3. Enter [Full Path] 
   • The fully qualified path for the root folder where all subfolders for entities reside.
4. Click Next

Step 3: Define your authentication parameters

1. Enter [User Name]
2. Enter [Password]
3. Click Authenticate
4. Click Next

Step 4: Activate the Synapse

1. Click "Make Synapse Active" then click "Close"

Congratulations! You have completed the setup of the SFTP Synapse.

If you receive any errors message after clicking Authenticate, confirm each of the parameters in the previous steps are configured properly. If the error persists, contact one of our Onboarding and Support team members.
