In this article, we'll see how to connect ChatGPT Pro and Plus subscriptions with Syncari MCP server and interact with your unified data.

Prerequisites:

  • A ChatGPT plan that supports full remote MCP Servers (Pro and Plus plans)
  • Syncari Instance with active pipelines (and Datastore)

NOTE

The MCP Server does not support ChatGPT Search. You may see a note saying 'This connector cannot be used for search'. This is not an error.

ChatGPT Setup

To add Syncari MCP server to your ChatGPT, follow the instructions below

  • Go to the Settings -> Connectors
  • Scroll down and expand Advanced Settings
  • Check the Developer Mode(Beta) checkbox
  • Click the Back link to go back to the list of Connectors
  • Click on Create button
  • Type in "Syncari MCP" (or any other name you prefer) in the Name attribute
  • In the MCP Server URL attribute type in https://mcp.syncari.com/mcp
  • Select "OAuth" from the Authentication select attribute
  • Check the I trust this application checkbox and click the Create button
  • Login to your Syncari account and go through the steps
  • Once the connector is created, you will see the Developer Mode chat box in ChatGPT UI
  • Click on the Plus(+) button -> More -> Developer and enable Syncari MCP

Troubleshooting

Some of the Syncari tool metadata may be cached in ChatGPT. If you run into error executing any Syncari tool, try removing and adding back the Syncari connector.
