In this article, we'll see how to connect Claude with Syncari MCP server and interact with your unified data.
Prerequisites:
- A Claude plan that supports a Custom Connector using Remote MCP (Team, Enterprise, Pro or Max plan)
- Syncari Instance with active pipelines (and Datastore)
Claude Setup:
To add Syncari MCP server to your Claude, follow the below mentioned instructions:
1. Go to your Profile and click on Settings.
2. Click on Connectors section in Settings.
3. Click on Add custom connector button.
4. After clicking on Add custom connector button you will see a dialog box.
5. Provide the Name as Syncari MCP Server and the Remote MCP server URL as https://mcp.syncari.com/mcp and click the Add button.
6. In Claude's Settings under Connectors, you'll see the Syncari MCP Server listed as a custom connector. Click the Connect button next to it.
7. Claude will initiate the authorization flow with Syncari. If you're not already logged into Syncari in your browser, you'll be redirected to the Syncari login page, enter your credentials to proceed. Once logged in, a Syncari MCP Authorization Request screen will appear listing the permissions being requested.
Click Accept to grant the required permissions.
8. After clicking Accept, Syncari will complete the handshake with Claude and you'll be successfully connected.
9. To enable Syncari MCP Server in a conversation, click the + button in the chat input, hover over Connectors, and toggle Syncari MCP Server on. It's now active and ready to use.
Claude Usage
Once you have successfully connected Syncari MCP server, you can now interact with your unified data with prompts. For the very first time when you prompt Claude, it will ask you permission to allow access to Syncari MCP. Click Allow Always.
Using Claude for Data Analysis:
Here is an example of me asking Claude to find Top 10 Customers by Revenue and Industry.
Now I ask "Show the Top 10 Customers by Revenue and Industry"
You can see that Claude communicated with Syncari MCP to query my unified data in Syncari and render the charts.
Trigger Syncari Actions
With the Syncari MCP integration, you can now trigger standard and custom Syncari actions via clients like Claude. Ask Claude on the available Syncari Actions.
In this below example, I am sending an email with a subject line and body to myself.
Troubleshooting
Some of the Syncari tool metadata may be cached in Claude. If you run into error executing any Syncari tool, try restarting your Claude.
