Marketo actions are useful for running automation in Marketo. You may need to trigger a Smart Campaign based on adding a Marketo Lead to a list or add a lead to program when the lead registers for an event. The Marketo actions are available on both the Entity and Attribute pipelines. The actions will work for existing Marketo Leads and will not create new leads.

Add to Marketo List
The Add to Marketo List action will add a Marketo Lead to a List. This action requires a Marketo List ID and Lead ID to be specified.
1. Enter a Display label for the node. This will be helpful with identifying the node when viewing your Pipeline.
2. Enter a Description for the node. This is an optional attribute.
3. Select the Marketo Synapse.
4. Enter the Marketo List ID. This value can be set by using a Token. Click the Insert Token option to specify the attribute that will be used to dynamically set the List ID to an attribute on the entity record that holds List ID.
5. Enter the Marketo Lead ID. This value can be set by using a Token. Click the Insert Token option to specify the attribute that will be used to dynamically set the Lead ID to an attribute on the entity record that holds Lead ID.
Remove from Marketo List
The Remove from Marketo List action will remove a Marketo Lead from a List. This action requires a Marketo List ID and Lead ID to be specified.
1. Enter a Display label for the node. This will be helpful with identifying the node when viewing your Pipeline.
2. Enter a Description for the node. This is an optional attribute.
3. Select the Marketo Synapse.
4. Enter the Marketo List ID. Click the Insert Token option to specify the attribute that will be used to dynamically set the List ID to an attribute on the entity record that holds List ID.
5. Enter the Marketo Lead ID. Click the Insert Token option to specify the attribute that will be used to dynamically set the Lead ID to an attribute on the entity record that holds Lead ID.
Add to Marketo Program
This action adds a lead to a Marketo Program. It requires a Program ID and Lead ID. To get the Program ID, view your Marketo Program and copy the ID value from the URL.

2. Enter a Description for the node. This is an optional attribute.
3. Select the Marketo Synapse.
4. Enter the Marketo Program ID. Click the Insert Token option to specify the attribute that will be used to dynamically set the Program ID to an attribute on the entity record that holds Program ID.
5. Enter the Marketo Program Status if you want to update an existing Program Member with a new status.
6. Enter the Marketo Lead ID. Click the Insert Token option to specify the attribute that will be used to dynamically set the Lead ID to an attribute on the entity record that holds Lead ID.
