This article will help you understand how to import Leads into Syncari from Google Sheets. .

Importing Leads into Syncari using your Google Sheets synapse can help you clean up and normalize the data in your spreadsheet before importing the data into a destination. The Google Sheets synapse can help add automation to your recurring import processes.

Setup

  1. Add a subfolder into the Google Drive root folder you created as part of the Google Sheets setup. This subfolder will create a new entity on your Google Sheets synapse.
  2. Add a new Google Sheet to the subfolder that includes all header names that will be included in your import. This sheet will be used to set up the schema for your import entity. Header names will be the field names in the Google Sheets entity. The spreadsheets that you will be importing must have the same header names as this spreadsheet. 3. To get the new subfolder and spreadsheet columns to show up in Syncari, refresh the Google Sheets synapse. Go to Synapse Studio and refresh the schema.Screen_Shot_2021-01-14_at_9.54.05_PM.png
  4. Set up your pipeline to use the new entity. Add the Google Sheets node to your pipeline. The entity picklist on the Google Sheets source node will display a list of your Google Sheets entities (subfolders). Select the entity (subfolder) that you created in Step 1. 5. Add the Field Pipelines needed for syncing your spreadsheet data into Syncari which includes any Field Functions that will normalize your data.
  6. Publish your pipeline after adding the necessary field pipelines and data transformations.

You're now ready to begin importing Leads. The pipeline will recognize a new Google Sheet file you add to the subfolder you created in Step 1. Keep in mind the new file you add to the subfolder must have the same header names as the spreadsheet that you added in Step 2. Each row in your Google Sheet will be treated as a unique lead record.
