If your organization prefers or requires you to use Single Sign On (SSO) to log into Syncari, we've got you covered!
What you should know before proceeding with the setup
- Syncari currently provides generic support for providers that leverage SAML 2.0.
- We only support IDP initiated SSO. SP initiated SSO is not supported.
- Once configured in a single instance, SSO will be applied to all the instances under your Syncari subscription.
Let's get started!
Login to Syncari and go to Settings.
Go to Single Sign-On and toggle Enable SSO.
Unless you administer your company's SSO provider yourself, you'll want to share the following two URLs with your IT department and ask them to generate an X.509 certificate.
NOTE: you can navigate away from this page and continue logging in with email/password for now.
When IT provides the certificate, go ahead and copy/paste the contents in X.509 Certificate.
NOTE: you must include the header and footer -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
-----END CERTIFICATE-----
as shown in the screenshot above or Syncari will not accept the certificate.
Finally, go ahead and Save. From this point forward, you should be able to login to Syncari via your SSO provider.
If you ever need to disable SSO, you can easily do so by switching the Enable Single Sign-On toggle to off. Each user will need to go through the Reset Password flow at https://app.syncari.com/ to get logged in.
Be aware that turning SSO off, will clear out all SSO configurations and require you to reconfigure them should you ever want to enable it again.
