Xero Setup

The Xero Synapse enables data synchronization between Xero objects and Syncari entities using the Xero API. After the Synapse is Authenticated, a user can Activate the Xero Synapse, which enables Syncari to replicate the schema of Xero and make it available within the Unified Data Model. Using the Sync Studio, a user can map Xero objects to Syncari entities, and Xero fields to Syncari fields. To accelerate the setup and configuration of these pipelines, Syncari provides a default mapping for the standard objects and fields in Xero.

Xero Setup

Follow these steps in Xero to prepare the integration between Xero and Syncari:

1. Login to Xero:
   https://login.xero.com/
2. Navigate to the developer console in Xero:
   https://developer.xero.com/myapps/
3. Click "New app" (in the upper right corner):

Populate the "Add a new app" information and click "Create App":

App name: Syncari
Company or application URL: https://www.syncari.com
Privacy policy URL: https://syncari.com/privacy-policy/
OAuth 2.0 redirect URI: https://update.after.creating.this.app
Note: The OAuth 2.0 redirect URI will be updated in a subsequent step

Synapse Setup

1. Login to Syncari:
   https://app.syncari.com/
2. Navigate to Synapses and drag the "Xero" Synapse from the Synapse library to the canvas:
3. Provide a name for your Xero Synapse, your target Organisation in Xero and click "Next":
4. Copy/Paste the Client ID and Client Secret from the Syncari App in Xero to Syncari and click "Generate":
5. Copy/Paste the Redirect URL from Syncari into your Syncari App in Xero and click Save:
6. Click "Save and authenticate" in Syncari:
7. Click "Allow access" in the pop-up window for Xero Authorization:
8. Click "Save and authenticate" in Syncari:
9. Click "Next" and click "Close":

Congratulations! You have completed the setup of Xero.

If you receive any errors message after clicking Authenticate, confirm each of the parameters in the previous steps are configured properly. If the error persists, contact one of our Onboarding and Support team members.

Note: A unique Xero App and Syncari Synapse is required for each Organisation in Xero. If you want to integrate more Xero Organisations within Syncari you will need to repeat these steps.
