Data enrichment is the process of enhancing, refining, or improving raw data by adding additional information or context to make it more valuable and actionable for analysis or decision-making purposes. This additional information can include demographic data, geographic data, social media data, historical data, or any other relevant data points that provide insights and context. It is one of the key pillars of Data Quality.

This article walks you through the process of setting up enrichment in Syncari platform.

Enriching Data Using Pipelines

Syncari's data enrichment capability allows users to augment incoming records with external data from data providers like Clearbit, ZoomInfo, etc. The enrichment is processed in the pipelines as the record flows through to create a golden record in Syncari. This golden record can then be distributed to all operational systems that need it.

In the below example, Account is being synced from Salesforce into Syncari. Many times the website may not be populated on the accounts. In the Website field pipeline, if incoming website field is empty, the Enrich Company function populates the data by lookup the account record from external data provider. See this article for details on configuring the enrichment function.

Supported Data Providers

Syncari has a library of data providers supported out of the box. Below is the list of currently supported providers. Syncari is constantly expanding the library to add new providers, if you require support for a data provider and you don't see it in this list, please contact Syncari Support.

  • Clearbit

  • ZoomInfo

  • SalesIntel

  • Aidentified

  • Apex Analytix

  • SimilarWeb

  • InsideView

The service can be setup in Settings -> Service Credentials section. Org/Instance admins have access to settings area.

Caching

Most of the data providers charge based on the number of api calls made to lookup records. This can get expensive pretty quickly if you are planning on enriching dataset frequently. To avoid unnecessary api calls, Syncari caches the queried records for a period of 30 days by default.
