Syncari supports connecting directly to your own external data store to sync all unified data from Syncari into an external system. You can use this data to power your own BI tools or other tools to understand and utilize the unified data. Currently Postgres is supported and we are expanding it to other data warehouses like Bigquery, Redshift, Snowflake, etc. If you need any of these or a different warehouse to be supported, please reach out to us via support.
To create a custom connection, go to Settings > Data Store > Configure. There you can choose between the built-in Syncari data store or your own Postgres data store. Only one data store can be active and syncing at a time.
Using the provided Syncari data store doesn't require any configuration. You just need to enable it. If you'd like to sync data to your own external Postgres data store you'll be prompted to enter the needed credentials.
Start by clicking the "Create New Connection" button. Then provide a connection name and the other required details.
When you create the connection Syncari will test the credentials to make sure they're valid. If the test is successful the connection will be saved. You can then activate the connection to begin syncing data.
Activate/Deactivate
When a connection is activated new tables will be generated to match the entities stored by Syncari's unified data model. If the data store had previously been activated, the existing tables will be reset and syncing will start over and sync all data. Depending on the amount of data to sync the sync cycles may take some time before moving all data into the data store.
Deactivating a connection will stop all syncing but does not remove the existing tables or data. If you want to reactivate a data store later the tables will be cleared and syncing will start over.
Connecting a custom data store to your syncari data can provide flexibility to use the data to better meet your needs.
