Dataset alias allows you to assign custom names to selected entities. For example, let's consider selecting the Account entity and assigning it an alias name.
From the Configure data section, in the Select data, select the Account entity. By default, the display name of the selected entity will serve as its default alias name. You can modify the alias name by clicking the pencil icon.
Dataset aliases are useful when
- you are creating a dataset which represents a hierarchical relation within the same entity. You can find more info about this in the blend section.
- you want to give a better, meaningful name to source entities/datasets
