The ultimate goal with Insights is to create dashboards that provide a clear understanding of data across systems connected to Syncari. Dashboards can be created as needed to target specific audiences like executives, marketing, sales, or customer success.

Insights comes with five default dashboards. The Sample Dashboard shows what can be done with Insights. Unlike the other dashboards, it's not connected to the data in the product.

The remaining 4 default dashboards show visualizations based on the data in Syncari. These default dashboards cannot be edited, but the data cards in them can be reused. See Creating and Managing Data Cards for more about reusing data cards. If data that matches the requirement for a particular data card is missing, a message will be displayed on the data card that will describe what is missing. See Aligning Your Data with Default Dashboards for suggestions.

Sample Dashboard

The Sample dashboard provides inspiration with several examples of different types of visualizations. Notice the Example label next to the dashboard name. This means it’s using hard-coded data instead of  data in Syncari.

Aligning Your Data with Default Dashboards

If data that matches the requirement for a particular data card is missing, a message will be displayed on the data card that will describe what is missing.  Using this information, the data card can be corrected by shaping the data in Syncari:

Common types of messages include:

  • Missing Requirements—These messages typically tell what data isn't configured in Syncari.
    • If fields have not been mapped for an entity in Syncari, the message specifies which entity is required. Look for information like this: This datacard requires these entities to be mapped: Ticket.
    • If data in Syncari includes a pipeline for the entity, but a required field is missing, look for information like this: This datacard requires these fields to be mapped: Lead.Created Date. Syncari uses an alias to describe the field and formats it as  entity.field_name. In this example, the Created Date field is not mapped in the Lead entity.
  • No data—Insights wasn't able to find the required data. Take a look at Data Studio to be sure you have appropriate data.
  • Error retrieving data—Insights encountered an error in your data. Take a look at Data Studio to be sure your data is configured.
