Pipedrive Synapse Setup

The Pipedrive synapse enables data synchronization between Pipedrive and Syncari entities using the Pipedrive API. After you authenticate with Pipedrive, you can activate the synapse, which enables Syncari to make the data available within the Syncari Unified Data Model.

Requirements & Reference

Supported Synapse Capabilities

  • Schema discovery
  • Syncari's Pipedrive synapse supports these Pipedrive objects:
User Product Activity Type
Person Note Role
Organization Activity Pipeline
Deal Price Stage

Pipedrive Setup

To authenticate with the Pipedrive synapse, you’ll need to know the endpoint URL and API Key. Keep this information handy. You'll need it to Configure the Pipedrive Synapse in Syncari.

To identify the Endpoint URL append /v1/ to the URL you use to access Pipedrive. For example, if your URL is https://syncariinc.pipedrive.com, enter https://syncariinc.pipedrive.com/v1/.

To find your API Key:

  1. In Pipedrive, click your profile in the top menu, and then select Personal Preferences.

  2. Select the API tab, and then copy Your personal API token to be used as your API Key.

Configure the Pipedrive Synapse in Syncari

In the previous section, you identified the endpoint URL and API Key. Now, you can connect the Pipedrive synapse in Syncari:

  1. In Syncari, open Synapse Studio.
  2. Find Pipedrive in the Synapse Library, and drag it to the canvas.

  3. Complete the information in the Configure step:
    • Synapse Name—Enter your own custom name for the synapse.
Note: Stick to letters and numbers. The name must begin with a letter. The only special characters we allow are spaces, hyphens (-), and underscores (_).
    • Endpoint URL
    • Authentication Method—Leave API Key selected.
    • Optional: The Sync Rate Limit affects downstream syncs with the synapse. Turn on the Sync Rate Limit if needed to limit the sync rate for updates. You can edit this configuration later if you find you need to manage your downstream syncs.

  4. Click Next.
  5. Enter the API key that you identified in Pipedrive Setup, and then click Authenticate.

  6. Click Next.
  7. Select Make Synapse Active
    Other options include:
    • Map Entities in Sync Studio—Syncari takes you to Sync Studio to map the entities before activating the Synapse.
    • Activate and Create Pipelines—We don't recommend using this option except in specific use cases (e.g., this is your first synapse, and you want your schema to match that of the synapse). For synapses with default mappings, Syncari updates the Sync Studio canvas and creates draft pipelines for the Syncari Unified Data Model. Contact one of our Onboarding and Support team members before using this option.

  8. Click Close.
